Network Admin Engineer

■ Description of business in JRI Philippine branch

The JRI Philippine branch covers developments, maintenance, and operations of IT systems for SMFG group companies to catch up with robust IT requirements in the group and to enlarge IT development capacity with skillful IT resources from off-shore centers. The Philippine branch is the first captive off-shore IT center of SMFG.

It will start with development projects and operations for the Japan HQ and its Singapore branch due to the limited availability of IT resources. JRI expects the Philippine site to provide rich resources to projects in those countries and contribute to faster and better implementation in the following areas.
 System development and testing services for banking applications and internal applications to SMFG group companies
 Developments and testing services of cloud services supporting the group’s SDG initiatives
 IT platform / Infrastructure support services
 Desktop support services

As a starting member of the Philippine branch, we expect the person to be a bridge between the Japanese headquarters, Singapore, and the Philippines. There will also be business trips to Japan, and the person can build their career and experience.

This position will be responsible for analyzing, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and repairing network infrastructure and application components that support the needs of the Singapore office and all other Regional Branches. 

Performs various evaluation, maintenance, installations, and training tasks to ensure computer network performance meets expectations. This role will provide direction, information, and recommendations on network configurations/installations.

Requirements:
  *   Degree or Diploma in IT/Information Systems/ComSci/Engineering, Business IT or its equivalent
  *   CCNP certified;
  *   NSE certified;
  *   CCSA certified;
  *   Cloud knowledge and certification will be an advantage
  *   Knowledge and experience in using network management systems, i.e SolarWinds, WLC, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiManager
  *   Knowledge of cloud-based network technologies and architecture such as Azure.

Experience:
  *   At least 5 years of experience in administration and implementation
  *   Good knowledge of the following, but not limited to:
- Firewall technologies (high availability, virtual firewall concept)
- IP load balancer
- Distribution and core switches
- Router configuration (high availability)
- LAN and WAN administration
  *   Good understanding of a services business in a high-tech environment from a supplier, integrator, or operator’s perspective
  *   Experience in Data Centre Networks (Routing, switching)
