This is a new position for the PHASE 2 project for the Davao Bypass Road
RESPONSIBILITIES
●Prepares, analyzes, and reviews the overall process in project bid submission, awarding, and contract management. In charge of monitoring contract variation, ensuring the company will be protected contractually and commercially.
●Drafting and reviewing contracts, supporting negotiations, and finalizing contracts.
●Writing and reviewing contracts / sub-contractors’ agreements, conditions, payments, claims, final accounts, other communication and notices; Reviews project correspondences and contributes commercial and contractual inputs to project site issues.
Management of variation orders.
●Prepares and reviews pre-bid, consortium, JV, and client agreements as required.
●Supports all the company’s operating divisions in interpretation of contract documents; Identifies, initiates, hires, trains, and appraises Engineers in contract management.
●Preparation of Final Accounts.
●Comply with safety policy and standard procedures.
●Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
●Review and negotiate various client-facing agreements, including:
・Master Service Agreements
・Amendments / Addendums
・Certifications
●Perform database entries related to contracts and agreements.
●Interact with external clients and vendors.
●Obtain input and approval from internal stakeholders.
●Excellent negotiation and contract drafting skills, with the ability to interpret complex contract clauses.
●Ability to identify risk elements within a contract, assess their impact on business operations, and communicate risks effectively to senior management.
• Graduate of Civil Engineering, Legal / Law Studies, or any related field. With Master's degree or its equivalent will be an advantage
• Experience: With 7-10 years’ experience in Project Contract Management, 5 years spent in a managerial capacity.
• Experience in the Construction industry, Government Projects, and knowledge of FIDIC Contract conditions.
• With extensive knowledge in managing and negotiating contracts
• Strong understanding of legal principles and practices.
• Strong organizational, communication, analytical, and time management skills.
• Should possess outstanding leadership skills and should be able to deal effectively with employees on all levels of the organization. Emphasis on experience & willingness to join the company as Project Staff in Davao City
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage high-volume, deadline-driven workloads.
• Expert-level proficiency in redlining using Microsoft Word; working knowledge of Excel, and SharePoint
• Government contract experience is a plus, including reviewing and interpreting government contract terms and procurement policies.
